École St. Gerard is a French Immersion Catholic School in Grand Prairie, Alberta. This school is special and unique because it is the only French Immersion Catholic school in the area! As a school, we welcome students from a wide geographical area who want to learn in our community! Students in class 4C/4D instantly connected with the lyrics of our chosen song (C OKAY - Le Groupe Swing), and thoughtfully discussed the importance of this piece. This grade 4 class has done an exceptional job working together to learn this song on ukulele, Orff instruments, and experimenting with adding body percussion. These students were always so excited to practice what they had recently learned, and help each other improve! Students chose the roles they wanted to perform, and made musical decisions about what instruments added to the performance. École St. Gerard students are proud to share what they are presenting to CBC for this challenge!
